TVIrl
Hi all,
Does anyone know the where I can find the epg.xml and m3u8 files on the topfield. I'm trying to set up TVirl through Live Channels on a NVIDIA SHIELD.
Thanks to anyone who can help!

Cheers Gully. I actually meant to say T4, not Topfield, so my mistake.

That makes a bit of a difference then .Getdavenow wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 09:17Cheers Gully. I actually meant to say T4, not Topfield, so my mistake.
epg.dat is in /etc/enigma2 by default
The location is configurable in the GUI, so it could also be on the harddisk if you have chosen to send it there.
I'm not sure how exactly to get it into a .xml format, but there is a bunch of functions in the openwebif that may do the job.
https://github.com/E2OpenPlugins/e2open ... umentation
You can obtain the m3u8 data via the T4's web interface. Click on the Live TV stream icon for any service, and the web browser should spit out a .m3u8 file that either the browser handles, or an external app will handle (vlc in my case). In Chrome, I am usually left with a m3u8 file in my downloads folder after initiating a stream.
The format of the file looks like this:
Code: Select all
#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true
#EXTINF:-1,7HD Perth

Here is an interesting link I ran into when I did a quick search.
Some tools there that may be useful to you if you don't want to do things manually.

Re: TVIrl
I saw some recent updates to Live Channels recently and it reminded me of this thread. I haven't really explored this software at all.Getdavenow wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 18:51Great - Thanks for your help. Will see what I can do with Live Channels.
Have you tried out the HDTunerProxy plugin? It makes the Wiz emulate the functions of a HDHomerun box. I've tested and used it with PlexDVR, but haven't tried it with Live Channels.

Re: TVIrl
Actually I tried the HDtunerproxyplug in, but couldn't get any initial success.
Bit hard to imagine what I did wrong, but it appears my install never worked.

Re: TVIrl
It often won't show up when you perform an automatic scan. You may need to enter the IP address and port manually. At least that has been my experience with Plex

Re: TVIrl
Will def try this again. Any tips on choosing a Port Number ? (I'm not sure what's good or what matters)
(Cancel all this - It's slowly starting to work. Port 6082 for me)
