WIN ACT: Livin' in the 90's: broadcast time wrong

Post by prl » Tue Feb 17, 2009 08:25

Since yesterday afternoon, WIN ACT has been broadcasting times in their EIT that set the AUTO time on my Beyonwiz (auto time on Topfields, too, probably) to 1 Jan 1999 (yesterday) and 2 Jan 1999 (today). This really messes up timers and the EPG.

I called WIN late last night (about 11pm) to tell them, but as of about 8:50 this morning, they were still saying it's 2 Jan 1999.

Edit: I just called again (9:30am), and I was told the message would be forwarded to the WIN control centre in Wollongong. I guess that may mean that all the transmitters that take their feed from Wollongong may be affected. All of South or SE NSW, perhaps?

Mea culpa.

I hadn't read that topic, and anyway, I think it's worth having a title that explicitly flags this problem, since

Code: Select all

Guide and time issues
doesn't get to this point very quickly.
