Post by sydney2218 » Tue Dec 04, 2012 05:59

I put a Topfield 2400 on IceTV correctly & 3 days later the P1 guide is no longer loading just blank. I took out the Topfield from IceTV & in its set up. But the P1 is still blank ! What did i do wrong My subscription has a years credit & been rock solid for years .

DHCP in action , different addresses, turned on different times. I removed the Topfield from IceTv, it has FTA guide & all is back on the P1.Will leave it that way. The Topfield fta guide is ok , some detail & series recording . There are some postings on other forums about this/similar issue due to IceTV protocols in sending data to 2 boxes & a conflict which arises .Solution seems to be creating a dummy 00 entry & 01, 02 entry.More reading needed.

If you have 2 boxes. one of which is a Beyonwiz, always have the BW as the first device (0) in your list.
If you have more than one BW then its in your interest to redo your device list in the Ice server to have a dummy in there for device 0.
This issue should only affect Timers, not the EPG. This problem I talk about here is a BW problem.

I have three Beyonwizes in my device list, the first slot is an active device, and I have never had any problems like the one that this is said to fix.

This same question has also been posed on the IceTV forum. As I have posted there, it may be helpful for sydney2218 to post a bit more about what was actually done.

When ithe Beyonwiz is not fetching the EPG correctly, what does the status window in SETUP>Network>IceTV show?

Seems to me the normal text ,epg fetching etc , seems active .Anyway i have resolved the conflict by deactivating the Topfield & using its FTA guide which is ok ,does series recording.I am not as tech savy as you guys ,thanks for your replies .

Did you try what grampus suggested i.e. have the BW as the first device in your IceTV website Interactive device list?

I have a BW P2 (first on the list) and a Topfield TF7100HDPVRt working perfectly well with IceTV this way for a couple of years now.

Yes that set up & IceTV support did it that way, as well. 0 & 1.

The Toppy can't do series recording without IceTV - I know this because I have one. The 'Intelligent Record' function is not proper series recording and will almost certainly let you down sooner or later.
You have paid for IceTV and are allowed 4 interactive devices. You are mad if you don't use it.
