Scheduled recordings not updating

Post by 988998584 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 20:21

Hi All,

I have a Beyonwiz DP-S1 & as of 31/3/2010 my unit no longer updates to reflect scheduled shows to record.

I log onto Ice TV & schedule shows to be recorded on my Beyonwiz but nothing happens.

I go into the Pop-Up page and check scheduled recording and it's empty, even though I would have receently scheduled some shows be recorded.

Also, I cannot manually go into the EPG page and press RECORD on any shows. The system is not allowing me that option. The HDD is 3 QTR empty so room is not an issue.

I've also noticed that the time is an hour out since day light savings.

Can anyone offer some suggestions as to what may be going on...?

Thanks in advnace

Sounds like you didn't adjust time setting for DST ending. Depending on how you have it and where you are, it will be the hours offset or zone that needs changing.

Once you have done that, check your IceTV settings in setip.

BTW I am moving this to the correct section for IceTV posts.
Cheers

I followed your instructions and updated the time to reflect the change in day light savings.

I went to the EPG page and tried to press REC on a program, but nothing happens.

It's not letting me record shows off the EPG..?

Did you change the time offset/zone like I said or the time?

Did you check the IceTV page in setup?

Is it showing content in the EPG?

From IceTV or FTA?

I disabled the day light saving option & the time went back an hour.

I selected the Ice guide in setup and requested check user info.

It passed login and began checking scheduled tasks.

I went to the EPG page and all FTA shows appear there but I cannot REC any of them

Have your IceTV timers come through?

What happens when you try and create a timer in the EPG?

I went back into setup and deleted IceTV cache & EPG data cache.

Now there is nothing in my EPG page.

I went to IceTV setup and selected check user info & now it's checking scheduled tasks

It should also show how long till it will update scheduler tasks and updating the EPG.

Check that it has after those times.

It comes up with the times and completes both successfully, both EPG & schedule tasks.

After that I go into the EPG page. I can see all FTA shows but it wont let me REC any programs. I press the REC button and nothing happens.

So far what I've tried is thefollowing -

Changed DLS time to reflect correct time
Deleted EPG cache
Selected Ice guide option & requested check user info
Successful login & began checking scheduled tasks & retrieving EPG data
20 minutes for tasks / 40 minutes for EPG data
Successfully completed above tasks

After waiting the advised time EPG page shows all FTA shows
Log onto IceTV & request all schedule recordings be sent to device (Beyonwiz)
Select pop up menu & view timer list - Nothing there
Go into EPG page & try to record show nothing happens.

HDD is nearly empty & have 178 Gig available

Really frustrating not being able to record my shows

What does the ICE status show in the Wiz ICE setup page, you might have to wait out the wait period to see the status? Can you press rec-rec on a live show to start a recording? What happens when you press "OK" on an epg entry? Is the date/time for the EPG entries showing correctly (wonder if your PVR date is mucking up or something)?
Can you go to the timer list and manually add a new timer? (WIZ gui list here, not ICE web).
Regards

What is the setting in SETUP>Preferences>PVR>EPG Action? If it's Set Timer, then pressing OK in the EPG will cycle through Recording Timer, View Timer, Delete Timer for the program. If it's set to Change Svc, then pressing OK will change live TV to the current service, and REC, PLAY and STOP respectively create a Recording Timer, create a View Timer and delete the timer for the current program slot. Is that the source of the problem?

Also, the protective film on the front of a new Beyonwiz doesn't pass IR signals well. That shouldn't affect only one button code in one context, but it can also cause strange problems with the remote control, so you should peel it off if you haven't already.

Once you start using IceTV Interactive, you'll probably find that you rarely use timer setting from the EPG. I only use it for recordings that don't correspond to a whole program, and for last-minute recordings where we normally watch something live and aren't able to. People on the forum tell me that watching TV live is so pass?, but I do it anyway. But for those occasions you will want the EPG timer setting to work properly.

Maybe your REC button is broken?? Does REC work while watching live tv? (should open a recording options window).

Also I think you can't press "rec" on an entry that is about to start or already started in the EPG....(perhaps, maybe I am remembering something slightly different about this).

I'm reasonably sure you can.

Yeah you can, it starts instantly if the program is current.

Definitely can - had to do it last night when an IceTV timer had gone AWOL (but that is another story! :D )
