Free 3 Month Trial

Post by pjc3 » Mon Aug 27, 2007 12:02

Has anyone taken up the free 3 month trial which is advertised on the BW box?
I have contacted IceTV Sales several times by email regarding this and they have not yet returned my emails.

In a word 'Yes' just browsed to the Ice TV website and created an account and then keyed in the licence key provided on the Ice TV brochure (in the box with the BW).....all went very smoothly.

Although I do occassionally get the situation where some program information is missing, which is fixed by clearing the cache.

Well what a great forum this is! After waiting well over a week for a reply from IceTV (still waiting) I get the answer here in less than an hour.
I now know I did not receive a brochure and hence no key.
Thanks Martyn.

Hi Philip,

Not sure why you haven't seen the replies as yet.

I have seen copies (and have copies as well) of all replies that sales have sent you.

I have also personally emailed you on Saturday, and have also responded to your email today from the support email address.

None of them have bounced back so if you definitely haven't received any emails you should check any spam filters that you have setup.

If you still have troubles please don't hesitate to call me on 1300 654 803.
Regards,

Daniel Hall

Yes, to clear up the lack of replies from IceTV .. I did not receive return emails from IceTV for some still unknown reason when they obviously were replying, but I have cleared up the problem and I do believe IceTV tried very hard to fix my problem.
Thanks Ice & Daniel.

Philip,

I'm in the same boat as you. Have emailed sales and support a couple of times and I haven't received a response. I don't have a problem with receiving emails from anyone else and, as an existing subscriber, I've received emails in the past. Will have to wit and see whether they respond or not.

If they had not replied, they did a good job of disguising it .... they sent me a copy of all the emails they had written which I had not received. Anyhow I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I just got my S1 last Friday ($1260 on Visa) at JB Hi-Fi.
I logged into my IceTV account and typed in the codes, it added the 3 month to my existing account.

Very easy and quick.

While trying to find out who sells VideoRedo, I noticed that the same company (Hyperreality) was clearing out their icetv prepaid stock. It is a little cheaper than on the icetv site ($20 for 90 days). It worked fine but just note that you cant redeem the extra bonus 30 days they talk about.

Regards
Pete

Was there a sticker on the box?

Yup, except it isn't a sticker, it's printed directly on the box.

I didn't get a leaflet inside my box, nor a sticker on the outside. I just rang ICETV support and they gave me the numbers to put into the web-site boxes and hey presto, my subscription was extended by 3 months.

I saw on their website that a number of P1 boxes were shipped without the brochure inside. There was a phone number and an email address.

I'm shy, so I shot off an email. I'm encouraged by the other forum users and think the iceTV support is pretty supportive. :D

I'll let you know how I get on.

They replied within 24 hours with the subscription details.

Good PR.

I have always had good service from IceTV.

On another (OT) note, Muzz, you seem to be suffering from avatar schizophrenia.....
Cheers,
