In an aside in a news item about IceTV for iPhone 3GS, IceTV has said "a new version of IceTV Interactive [is] scheduled for release next week". The post was on June 26, so presumably "next week" means "this week" (29 Jun - 5 Jul). :D

I received a reply to an email asking about the SD/HD Preference and was told ICe were aiming to launch the new Interactive Wednesday (today). I guess today is not over yet, or we'll see what happens tomorrow.

I wonder if they've succumbed to my incessant whinging about Recommendations?

Anyway, it would be nice if the launch was soon. I'd guess, though, that the switchover to the new software would be overnight, and it didn't happen last night, so perhaps a switch tonight and an announcement tomorrow?

It's a update to Interactive. Don't hold your breath though.

All I know is what's in the IceTV news item I linked to. From what Trial_Master posted, it sounds like IceTV Interactive will have new added function for website users (like the prefer SD/HD option for series recordings).

The bulk of the "News" item is about what the new version of Interactive will offer iPhone (and presumably other Widget) users. There's nothing there about what it will offer the rest of us.

I wasn't sure if I should post the email, but there are a bunch of new features (they wouldn't say) but they are confident that we'll all love the updates. I'm hoping the auto remove/replace timer function is coming, for those times the stations change the broadcast times.
