Issue since Daylight Savings

Post by np » Wed Apr 08, 2009 09:02

Hi Guys,

I change my wiz to +10 for the timezone on Sunday to take care of the daylight savings.

I set all my timers through Ice. Since then I havent had a successful timer fire.

I deleted all timers (on the wiz) and then re-sent them through the WizTV portal.

It seems that the timers have not been resent to my Wiz even though I have tried to resend them twice.

Suggestions ? Also, is that the best way to deal with DST change ?

You should not have deleted them on the Wiz. Doing this has effectively told Ice that you no longer wish to record these programs. All you needed to do was go My Account -> Devices -> Resend all timers for this device. The below topic "DST switchover while I'm away" goes into the details about how this works (and how it doesn't).

Thanks, but I have already resent the timers to the device a couple of times but they still havent appeared on the wiz. Unfortunately I read that article about not deleting the timers after I did the damage

your only option now is to find all your shows for the week one by one and choose the 'record' option, as you will find ice still knows you have series recordings for those shows but thinks you didn't want to record them this week as you deleted them all for the week. Do it from the interactive web, not the widget.

Sorry, my post should have been in the past tense to say what you *should* have done. I didn't meant to imply that it would fix your problem now. Post edited accordingly.

Thanks Tony - So does this mean that from next wiz my Wiz and timers will automatically go back to normal ?
