ABC2 and IceTV

Post by jezza » Sun Aug 03, 2008 10:22

Hi all;

I am having problems with recording ABC2 via ICETV. I have DP-S1 and all my other Icetv set recordings work fine but with ABC2 it records the on ABC1 instead.

For example "IT Crowd" at 8pm on Friday recorded "Collectors" instead. Would this be a IceTV issue or a setting on the S1 whiich I have set wrong or do I need to push something on the remoye as both streams have been recorded and I need to switch from one to another?

Thanks in advance
Jerome

When ABC swapped ABC and ABC2 on LCN 21 and 22 did you delete and rescan?

It sounds like that might be the problem.

Hi Jerome,

As Gully suggested, it sounds like you have not re-scanned all the ABC channels when they had a re-organisation of their LCNs. You may also want to check that your SBS and Channel 10 channels are also correctly listed. (E.g. Channel 10 HD should now be LCN 1 not LCN 12 even though LCN 12 is still operational.)

Regards,
Ian.

ABC 2

I've found the EPG for ABC 2 simply duplicates ABC 1. Is this because of the above mentioned reorganisation of LCN's? If so, when did the reorganisation occur?

Thanks

ABC made a big song and dance about it quite a number of months ago now. You need to re-scan your ABC frequency by the sounds of it, as ABC1 is on 2 and 21, and ABC2 is on 22. The older alocation was ABC on 2 and 22, and ABC2 on 21.

Tony

Thanks for the quick reply. As usual, as soon as I posted I found a plethora of threads talking about the same issue.

Cheers

Is that what was going on? I did a re scan of channels and everything is working now. But now all my Ice recordings are all screwed up so I'll probably have to manual delete them all on the website.

Just get IceTV Interactive to resend all the timers.

Did that. All the timers are set for Wed 1st Oct so they wont fire next Wednesday. I don't know I'll have to play it day by day for the next week.
