Can’t reboot V2. Always goes to standby
Can’t reboot V2. Always goes to standby
Hi all. So my V2 won’t reboot. Always goes to standby. IceTV is fine. But I’ve found that a couple of days ago something happened? and the recordings are all zero time and size since then. I have tried to reboot, restart GUI and shut down but it always just comes back on standby.
I have the blue bubble page. Can bring up epg but pic is the blue bubble page. Can play previous recordings.
Suggestions most welcome.

Re: Can’t reboot V2. Always goes to standby
Seeing the bubbles screen and empty recordings sounds to me like it's either no antenna signal, or the V2 has lost its broadcast signal scan data.

Ps. When I’m watching a recording. Eg tennis from 3 days ago and then go to epg, the pic of tennis substitutes for the blue bubble pic.

I had this problem with both T4s but it wasn’t a TV fault. I can still access live streaming from TV. Both Sony TVs say to check the antenna, however the 2nd V2 has no problem and is happily recording everything it’s supposed to. Last time the TV guy couldn’t fix the T4 and it went to Mark Warkus. It’s back but I need to talk to Mark or maybe someone can tell me why I get WLAN connection, Wireless network connected, DHCP enabled, IP address unconfirmed and Nameserver unconfirmed. Sorry I’ve gone off on another issue, As we know, it can be very frustrating grrrrrrrr.

Definitely a reception problem. The bubbles screen isn't "standby" it is just what is displayed when there is no other video image to display.
If you have fully verified your antenna connection and cables, then it sounds like your V2's tuner might be cooked.

The sound system won’t turn on either. It has done this before and was fixed so I thought it was the same problem. Now I’m wondering if it’s the same issue as V2. Maybe they are cooked? Will try a multi-pronged attack of remedies. Thank you for the suggestions.

Try tuner B - MENU>>Setup>>Tuners>>Tuner allocation. Set Preferred tuner to Tuner B.
Then exit back to "live TV" and change the service to a different TV network to force the use of tuner B (or restart the V2).
Do you get live TV?
If not, try a manual scan:
Setup>>Tuners>>Manual scan -
Tuner - Tuner B
Type of scan - Complete
System - Auto
Region - Perth (or Australia - Full Scan)
Then GREEN/Scan - does it find anything?
Do you have a USB tuner?
