The video doesn't play for me, can you not simply post a transcript of it as well? Written text is so much quicker to scan and search and much less prone to this sort of problem.

Eventually managed to get video to play but I would really appreciate it if you would put up written instructions as well rather than forcing the user to listen to/watch an entire video which could have been summarised in about eight lines.
Thanks
Thanks

I'm sure there will be. There is a placeholder for one on the download page. One already exists for the other models.

Re: How to upgrade the Beyonwiz V2 firmware via USB
The first and most important step of upgrading the V2 firmware is DO NOT follow the instructions on the Welcome sheet that comes with the wiz - this directs you to this forum, and suggests there should be a latest V2 firmware link on the right hand side. If you haven't been able to find this, don't worry, it doesn't exist!
It's a good idea to save your settings first.
Was that so hard to do Beyonwiz?
It's a good idea to save your settings first.
- You need to go to www.beyonwiz.com.au/downloads/ , select V2 from the list of products and download the firmware using the button in the middle of the screen.
- Unzip the contents of this file to a usb stick, making sure the files are in the root directory of the usb stick, not in a folder.
- Turn the V2 off at the switch on the back.
- Unplug ALL current usb attachments, and plug your usb stick into either of the usb ports. Keep the V2 attached to the TV using the HDMI cable.
- Hold down the front button on the V2, and while still holding this down, turn the V2 back on at the back switch. Keep holding the front button until the panel moves from showing "boot" to "UPdt" and the front button turns red. Now you can release the front button.
- Select "Recovery from USB" (for some reason the video thinks it needs a 1:30 explanation of this step)
- A progress display will be shown as it downloads and burns the firmware to the machine.
- It should finish with a display saying success, and then reboot (you might have to press OK after the success display)
- Once it reboots to a new display screen (sorry I can't remember exactly what it says, and it isn't shown in the video), turn the V2 off at the back switch again.
- Important: Remove you usb stick, and plug all your usual usb attachments back in.
- Turn the V2 back on again, and repeat the initial set up process.
- Restore your settings if you have them saved.

Re: How to upgrade the Beyonwiz V2 firmware via USB
I have just followed this procedure but when V2 booted up from recovery mode from USB all I get is. Error from download and front of V2 shows E02.

I assume that you got to step 6 successfully then?
Double check that the correct firmware is on the USB stick and has been unzipped into the root folder.
Make sure that you downloaded the latest official image from here:

The USB stick should be formatted as FAT32. The V2 is less picky about USB sticks than the old T and U series were, but just use FAT32 to be on the safe side.

FWIW I've had no trouble updating my two V2s using an NTFS USB.

FAT32 made it work. Thanks a lot.

Re: How to upgrade the Beyonwiz V2 firmware via USB
If you came from the previous public release firmware, then it is a lot of under the hood stability improvements mostly.
There have been some GUI fixes and cleanups including a new Infobar tuner display.
Networking security and reliability of network mounts have been upgraded.
There have been some hardware driver updates.
Lots of other minor bug fixes and performance improvements.
You may notice the first two in operation, but the rest are all largely invisible to the user.

I think he was on 20210901 1st release candidate, so the only new stuff would be from "20211008" 2nd r/c.
