How do I get my V2 to connect to Fillzilla?

Is there a guide somewhere that shows you how to do this?

I have the V2 connected to ethernet as well as being connected to PC via Cat 5 cable.

You need to set up a network password in the V2 first.
MENU->Setup->Network->Password

You can then just connect to it using filezilla by either its IP address (if you know what it is), or connect to "beyonwizv2" (if your network and DNS is working properly).

The username you have to use is "root". The password will be whatever you set it to in the first step .

We don't either, if you don't say what say anything about what it is you are doing when you try to get FileZilla to connect, or what happens when you when you try.

Case is significant both in the username and the password.

If you have set the password as MrQuade advised then the rest is easy. Say the password you set is "QueenLiz2#".

In Filezilla you type "beyonwizv2" as the host, "root" as the username and "QueenLiz2#" as the password. Omit all the quotes. Press enter and it should work for you as it does for me.

PS - Filezilla will query if you want to use an insecure connection - I answered yes.

In Filezilla in the "remote site" window navigate to /media/hdd/movie. In the "filename" window scroll down to find the .TS files. Drag and drop from the RHS window to the LHS window to copy off a movie from the V2 to the PC. The opposite is true to copy a file from the PC to the V2.

Or, in Openwebif on the LHS at the top select "Movies". A list should appear. If you use sub-directories click on "subdirs" to select the folder. Click the disk icon to download a copy of a recording.

I usually use windows explorer myself but setting up SMB can be challenging for some.

If it is the movie files that you are after then you can set up Filezilla to login straight to that directory by inserting /media/hdd/movie into the Default remote directory box of the Site Manager Advanced dialogue. You could also set a default local directory in that dialogue to transfer files to, if you wish.

Yes, his services are indeed greatly missed. I remember some years ago he had some serious health issues and wasn't working for a while. We can only hope that this isn't the reason that his business is not operating any more. His ABN is still active though.

I haven't been able to look at this problem again for the past few days.

I have encountered another problem on the PC about what appears to be about the connection between TV that might have some bearing on the main problem

If I go to Bluetooth & other devices in Windows 10 I can see that the TV has tried to connect to PC maybe hundreds times unsuccessfully. The error names gives the name of my TV brand, I can only delete each error one at a time so it will take a while to do so.

I have noticed when looking at the countless options on the B/W that there are options which indicate that I have some sort of connection to other options but I don't know just what they are.

I will try to track them down tomorrow.

That's strange. I don't know where you would see a log of errors in that part of Windows.
Do you mean that you have hundreds of broken devices listed in this interface, or are you actually looking at a log.
(there should be no reason to clean up a log, but yes, if it is a bunch of broken connections, you would be better off deleting the bad ones. Even then, I am not sure how that would happen either).
