Recording not appearing anywhere in media list
Recording not appearing anywhere in media list
I have a recording listed in the completed timers list, but there is no sign of it in the media list, not in any of the folders, not in trash - where could it possibly be?

Re: Recording not appearing anywhere in media list
Have you looked at the timer's log to see whether there are any error messages there?
From live TV, TIMER, then highlight the timer and press INFO (The i button).

Thanks Peter, I've checked that - the log is blank, should it be?

Re: Recording not appearing anywhere in media list
This is not an AutoTimer plugin generated timer then, I assume? Rather it's a timer you added (likely) via the EPG?
If the timer's log entries aren't shown, then it would appear it never ran.
Have you had a recent power outage?
Did you disable the timer?

The log stays blank until about 20 seconds before the timer starts, unless something changes the timer start or end times.
It sounds like your V2 simply didn't run the timer. The simplest cause of that would be that it was powered off at the mains for the whole of the duration of the timer.
Although there is a "timer failed" state in the code, timers that fail in some way are rarely put into that state. When the PVR is unable to run at all when the timer should be active, the timer won't be set to "failed".

Re: Recording not appearing anywhere in media list
Thanks guys ...That's really weird though. We weren't home but there's no sign of power disruption to any other appliance (eg, stove clock hasn't changed) so I don't think that is the cause.
It was set through EPG, just a once off recording.
It was a particularly long recording (all day women's cricket!) but there was space enough, and I see that space check is logged and it didn't even get that far anyway.

Re: Recording not appearing anywhere in media list
Are you using network time or TV broadcast time? If the latter perhaps you had a time jump.
Was the Wiz in shutdown/deep standby at the time?

I assume tv broadcast time as it's not connected to a network.
It was recording another program at the time it was supposed to start this one (able to record 2 at a time), so it was definitely awake!
