How do I timeshift to microsd and record to USB3

Post by Zodie » Fri Jul 03, 2020 17:50

I've read through the user manual, no help there. I went to the Beyonwiz website, V2, guide - coming soon. :shock:

Any ideas? I keep getting an error everytime I restart and I can't setup timeshift.

Some non-engineer speak would be of assistance.

If the microSD card is formatted by the V2 it will have the correct format (ext4).

At boot, the microSD card will be named as "HDD". So it becomes the default location for everything.

If you want recordings to go elsewhere, then you need to go into
MENU->Setup->TV->Recording settings

and then set your default recording directory to point to your hardisk instead.

tl;dr: If your microSD card was formatted on a Windows PC, it's no good. Format it with the Beyonwiz and it should work much better.
