New to forum test

J ust joined forum, Waiting for my new V2 to be delivered can not wait, had the Humax 4tune for 5 years it suddenly passed away last week very much looking forward to the V2 if works ok I will buy a second to replace my very much problematic Humax 2tune

Hi, MWDDWM, welcome to the forum.

I assume that you know that the V2 only supports USB-connected external HDDs: you won't be able to re-use the HDDs from the older devices on the V2 without putting them in a suitable USB enclosure.

I have a 3tb usb 3 external hdd ready to go i have all my media files backed up ready to transfer to v2, not sure how computer will see v2, will i have to use FTP , I used Filezilla with my humax

No, but you can if you want to.
The default recording directory is shared via SMB so Windows File Explorer and Mac Finder will be able to access it directly.
