You can mount the share, then place a bookmark on the subdirectory that you want quick access to.

Denon AVR-X3400h, LG OLED65C7T TV
QNAP TS-410 NAS, Centos File Server (Hosted under KVM)
Ubiquiti UniFi Managed LAN/WLAN, Draytek Vigor130/Asus RT-AC86U Internet
Pixel 4,5&6, iPad 3 Mobile Devices

Thanks for that, managed to get that all worked out.
But how on earth do I access all the bookmarks ? I found that with double clicking media only brings up last folder bookmarked ?
Can I have more than one ?

Yes.
In the Location/Bookmark screen, press CH+/- to toggle between Locations (top) pane and the Bookmarks (bottom) pane.
Press GREEN/OK to bookmark a directory from the top pane and return to the media list with that directory opened.
To open an existing bookmark, toggle to the bottom pane, select the bookmark and press GREEN/OK or OK. The bookmark should then be opened in the media selection list.
Recently accessed locations, including bookmarks, are usually shown when you press YELLOW/Location from the media selection list.
You can also access the Location/Bookmark screen from the Location screen (YELLOW/Location) by selecting '(Other...)'.

Hi,

As an alternative to Bookmarks, you can create a symbolic link to a folder on another device. I found this easier than using Bookmarks, as it appears as a folder in Media, and requires no extra button presses to access it. Also, it meant I didn't have to explain Bookmarks to my wife. :)

From Live TV:

Menu > Sources / Files, navigate into Target folder in left pane, switch to right pane, navigate & highlight source folder, press "2". Add water & stir.

You can, but be prepared for long convoluted pathnames to accumulate in the title bar as you navigate around.

Yes, but I don't have to explain Bookmarks to my wife. Have you read Grumpy's post?

She knows that RED button will take her Home, if she gets lost.

She doesn't need to know how to set them up.

Just map "Locations" to a coloured button, and the relevant bookmarks will simply show up there.

All of the coloured buttons have a use, not necesarily for her benefit, they are constant over all 3 of our BWs, and as I don't use Bookmarks, neither does she.

She doesn't need to know anything more.

An I don need splain nutin.

Thanks,
