My Windows Media Center HTPC is about to die, and I’m looking for a replacement PVR
Is there any functionality I might miss from WMC by going to a Beyonwiz V2?
Thanks
Anything WMC does that Beyonwiz can’t?

Coincidence but I just resurrected mine - new PSU.

Depending on how many tuners you have in the HTPC you may be better off with a V2. My WMC has a quad tuner card but the V2 has 2 to 4 optional. If you have a single tuner then the basic V2 is an upgrade.
The Wizzes playback software may not skip as smoothly as the WMC and occasionally some recordings from other sources may be problematic.
Overall, I think the functionality is quite comparable.

Re: Anything WMC does that Beyonwiz can’t?
Short answer is no. I had a brief encounter with WMC recorded content and soon abandoned it because the wtv format was only playable within WMC, and after conversion to be playable elsewhere was, to my recollection, not such high quality and bitrate as untouched transport stream (ts) recordings made on my Topfield and Beyonwiz PVRs.
I do miss WMC for other reasons, but not as a PVR!
