Access V2 hard drive from network

I have an SD card in the V2, which is used for timeshift, and an external USB hard drive on the USB3 socket which is used for recordings. I have seen this setup recommended in the forums. However, if I access the V2 via my PC over the network, I can only see the SD card, not the USB drive, which is annoying because I can't access any recordings externally. I can't see any settings on the V2 to make this work. Is it possible to access both SD and USB drives externally?

Yes, you can, but it can't be set up directly through the normal user interface on the TV screen or via Open Webif.

There are instructions here about how to use a script to set up sharing from the USB device when you also have a microSD card in the V2.
