HDMI-CEC Not working with V2

Post by BigbobOz » Sat Dec 21, 2019 14:53

I've swapped out my T2 for a V2 and the CEC on/off isn't working.

The T2 wasn't perfect, it couldn't change the input but turning it on and off would do the same with the TV, great.

V2, only the volume key passthrough is working, so there's a sign of life...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rob

No suggestions, but it's a bit hit & miss for us.

My T2 would  turn the TV On & Off. The U4 won't. The V2 will.

Neither the T2 nor the U4 will change to the correct Input, but the V2 will.

All tried on the same Sharp TV.

My wife's T2 will turn the TV On, but not Off. Her BW is connected to an Aldi TV.

I'll try the V2 on her's once we receive the USB Dual tuner: I think she'll appreciate 4 tuners. She can test it before we put it in the caravan. Then I'll take her T2, as I rarely use more than 2 tuners.

My usual semi-unhelpful advice for anything CEC related is to turn it off and use a universal remote like a Logitech Harmony.
Logitech Harmony Ultimate+Elite RCs
Beyonwiz T2/3/U4/V2, DP-S1 PVRs
Denon AVR-X3400h, LG OLED65C7T TV
QNAP TS-410 NAS, Centos File Server (Hosted under KVM)
Ubiquiti UniFi Managed LAN/WLAN, Draytek Vigor130/Asus RT-AC86U Internet
Pixel 4,5&6, iPad 3 Mobile Devices

I've got it connected to a Sharp TV, T2 worked for me as well but the V2 doesn't! Hmmm gives me hope but not sure what to try...

Yeah, that'll solve the other problem of wanting a second remote.

We have 3 Harmony 650s, all with dedicated BW & TV On/Off buttons at the screen. Saves any confusion as to why it does/doesn't turn On/Off any particular TV.

I only have two and a hub, set up to turn on the TV and the receiver.
