WIZTV dongle performance

Post by rwilliams1 » Tue Apr 09, 2019 09:00

I have problems using the dongle.
I am using an ethernet connection to the dongle.
When I open the browser it goes to a white screen and then it times out waiting for something to happen and after a long period it finally opens.
When I use either the keyboard or the remote it takes a while for anything to happen on the screen.
When I open Gmail it generally locks up and fails.
Last night I installed Chrome thinking it would work better, but it is just a bad as the default browser.
Sometimes when I do get a response I type in a URL and it is very slow or nothing happens.
I have managed to install some shortcuts to common web pages and they do work, but general performance with the browsers is bad.

Any suggests, or am I doing something wrong ?

I'd say you are not using the right tool for the job. A dongle is not a good choice to provide a web browser solution.
