WizOS on Macbook Air?
WizOS on Macbook Air?
We have the WizOS app working on a couple of iPads and Android devices. We have just bought a Macbook Air and I'm wondering if its possible to run the WizOS app on it? We hit the App Store but nothing comes up for Beyonwiz or WizOS etc.
Cheers
Tim

Re: WizOS on Macbook Air?
Not possible unfortunately. As it is at the moment, the app requires a touch interface.

Re: WizOS on Macbook Air?
Depending on your requirements, could you use OpenWebif on the Macbook Air's browser?
http://beyonwizt4/ for the full version, or the mobile version: http://beyonwizt4/mobile

I'll get her to try it and see - I've always found it a bit clunky and hit or miss as being able to stream things on my laptop and desktop, maybe it will be better on a Mac. The App works really nicely and is dead simple.

Re: WizOS on Macbook Air?
Depending on your usage, you can always just use finder to mount the WIZ disk and then use VLC or Quicktime to play the TS files.
T4, 4TB
U4, (small SSD)
IceTV EPG
LG OLED65E8PTA
Akai AK5021S6WOS
Sony HT DDWG800
Wired Network via Telstra Max2 - ASUS RT-AX86U, Netgear DGND3700, GS108TV2, WNDR3700
Synology 918+

That works nicely for recordings.Altimes wrote:Depending on your usage, you can always just use finder to mount the WIZ disk and then use VLC or Quicktime to play the TS files.
You can make streaming live TV work a bit more smoothly by creating a "playlist" file on your PC.tb123 wrote:I'll get her to try it and see - I've always found it a bit clunky and hit or miss as being able to stream things on my laptop and desktop, maybe it will be better on a Mac. Create a text file called "Beyonwiz Channels.m3u" or something like that, and then you can cut and paste the streaming URL for each channel from the Wiz's Web Interface into your playlist text file in a format like the following:
Code: Select all
#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true
#EXTINF:1, 7HD
http://beyonwizt3/web/stream.m3u?ref=1:0:19:564:506:1013:EEEE0000:0:0:0:&name=7HD%20Perth
#EXTINF:1, 7TWO
http://beyonwizt3/web/stream.m3u?ref=1:0:1:562:506:1013:EEEE0000:0:0:0:&name=7TWO%20Perth
#EXTINF:1, 7mate
http://beyonwizt3/web/stream.m3u?ref=1:0:1:563:506:1013:EEEE0000:0:0:0:&name=7mate%20Perth
Then you can just open the playlist in any video player that supports those sorts of playlists (live VLC) and skip between tracks to change channels.
