Looking for feedback/opinions on the video below I made of the F1 on Kayo's app on a new Sony 43X8000H TV.

Sony 43X8000H "judder"
Re: Sony 43X8000H "judder"
Looks a bit like it is converting a 50Hz source to a 60Hz screen rate. 5 frames then a repeat frame.
I'd say it is just the Kayo app not being particularly clever, and is not able to switch to 50Hz.

Re: Sony 43X8000H "judder"
My thoughts exactly! Sadly it's not limited to the Kayo app though -- I can reproduce the judder with the TV's "Chromecast Built-in", and by playing anything recorded at 50fps from a usb drive.
None of the refresh-rate apps I've tried helped, as it would seem the TV's OS is "locked" to 60Hz.
If I plug a laptop in I can select all the usual combinations of resolution/refresh-rates including 50Hz options.
If "Chromecast Built-in" is based on an old version of Chromecast, that would be consistent with complaints I've seen regarding 50/60Hz judder.
