This doesn't affect local transmissions but as a media player one may have to use a VPN to access some of the favourite subtitle sites. Media players like the Popcorn A-500 etc have the ability to go on line and find subs for a particular title so may affect machines like them including DUNE etc. Considering there are many non English releases without available English subs this is a short sighted move especially in a multicultural country like Australia. I need subs for my age related hearing loss and have done a few translations from Spanish or French subtitle SRT's to English as the English subtitle track was non existent.
