T4 EPG

Post by mike007 » Sat Jul 02, 2016 10:55

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if the T4's EPG can be made to show more than 8 channels in the graphical view?

Cheers

Hi Mike007,

Press MENU while in the GraphicalEPG and look for the entry "Number of rows" and set it to the number of rows you would like to see.

Regards,
Ian.

If you change the number of rows, you may also want to change the font sizes.

You can also temporarily increase the number of rows in the graphical EPG by pressing '7' on the remote. You can go back to the normal number by pressing '7' again. It's worth a try anyway, because it'll give you a quick glimpse of what the display looks like if you change the number of rows without changing the font.

Thanks gents. I seen the row adjustment in an instructional video but it only showed adjusting down from 8 so I wasn't sure if it went higher. Thanks again :)

Bloody brilliant! I like all the channels on one page. I just need them to get stock in so I can get one :D

It depends on what layout you want for the EPG.

In the layout I use, all my favourites (21 of them) don't fit in 20 lines. And with 20 lines shown it's a bit crowded.

In a layout with more space, it's still more than the 20-line limit, but not so crowded.

But I don't use the EPG much anyway.

Gotcha, I only have 10 favourites, atm, so it'll be perfect for me. I don't have icetv so I set all my recordings through the EPG. Thanks for the info mate.

Hi Gents,

Can someone please point me to the setting to let me look back at earlier EPG data, I've looked everywhere and thought it mustn't do it but my mate reckons his T2 does it. Thanks

Under "MENU->Setup->TV->EPG settings" there is an option called "Keep old EPG for minutes".

This setting determined how long the T2 will keep EPG data for, and will also set the starting time of the EPG when it is first opened. If you have that setting set to 60 minutes, it means that the EPG will open and display data starting from the left hand side of the screen from an hour ago. The maximum allowable value for that setting is 120 minutes.

It is not possible to scroll the EPG back further than that setting.

Thanks MrQuade, mine was set to 0. It's a bit annoying that it opens back there as well, I was hoping it worked like the toppy. It's not really a big deal, I guess it's just what I'm use to. I've only had it 24hrs but I'm loving it so far :D

Ok I spoke too soon. Whenever I try to fast forward or rewind a recording it freezes up and I have to switch it off and on at the back, any ideas?

Edit: it only happens if I try to go x16 or higher 2 4 and 8 are fine
