ICE TV on T4 not setting timers
ICE TV on T4 not setting timers
After almost a year of trouble-free operation, ICE TV is not setting timers on my T4 or recording programs.
The Timer List is blank. (timers may be set manually).
The 'Guide' is not showing the ICE programs to be recorded (in red). But it will show manually set timers.
I have tried >Menu>IceTV>Show Log ... all looks OK
I have tried > Menu>IceTV>Fetch EPG etc ... all went well
I have done 'Network Restart' and all went well.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Mike

Re: ICE TV on T4 not setting timers
Have you tried doing a "resend all timers" for the device in MY ACCOUNT>MY RECORDERS your IceTV Web pages and then requesting an EPG and timer update on the T4 side?

Re: ICE TV on T4 not setting timers
Did anything significant change within a week before the timers stopped working?
My first thought is that somehow the timers are being created from the wrong PVR profile on the IceTV website. Do you perhaps have multiple instances of your T4 showing up on the Ice website?
If you set a manual timer from the Wiz EPG, does the timer get send to IceTV, and then a little later show up in the EPG with a little iceTV icon?

Re: ICE TV on T4 not setting timers
If you go to the 'My Week' section of the IceTv website, it should show the programs scheduled to be recording over the coming 6 or 7 days . Each show should be accompanied by an icon whose colour indicates whether the IceTv servers think that the recording has been successfully scheduled, and if not, what the general problem is. What do you see in the 'My Week' page on IceTV?
Re: ICE TV on T4 not setting timers
Thank you for all of your input.
The problem is 'fixed' or has gone away.
I re-sent timers from both ends. Maybe that helped.
I suspect that it was a 'glitch' and a full power down, a good telling off, and a 'resend timers' may have done the job.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: ICE TV on T4 not setting timers
You may find it worthwhile to program the T4 to do a full restart once per week (e.g. at 3am Thursday). I find that this helps avoid the random communication problems (partic. if I'm out of town for an extended period).nexus7 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 14:42Thank you for all of your input.
