Error in 7 guide?

Strange thing tonight. At 8:35 pm the T4 was recording The Secret Daughter. However, the actual program is The Good Doctor. So I checked the T4 guide and it shows The Good Doctor.

Checked the IceTV app and it shows alternating entries for 7 and 7HD of TSD and TGD. One of each for 7 and one of each for 7HD!

Really weird and didn't know that it was even possible to have two programs listed in the same time slot. Also weird is the recording name is not the same as the T4 guide.

On 1-Nov, my T4 received a timer from IceTV for TSD for tonight (7th 20:35)
On 5-Nov (morning) my T4 reports TSD was changed to tomorrow (8th)

I think they decided to slot in 'encores' of TGD

As you can see, the timer name comes from Ice.

Further info, my timer delete for The Secret Daughter (action: forget) was actioned on the T4 at 10:05:07 AWST (Ice server time in the header was - 'Date': 'Sun, 05 Nov 2017 02:05:07 GMT').
Paul, was this before or after the time you installed the alpha patch to fix IceTV EPG gaps?

I believe the new IceTV supplied field that is used in the alpha to overcome the issue of disappearing EPG events is named "eit_id".
I note that my 'forget' entry had "eit_id":"0" - I'm not running the alpha (as it appears to mostly affect Bleak City).

A question then for prl/Peter - does the alpha discard "eit_id":"0" entries? Any reason why the alpha code may have not actioned the 'forget' entry (assuming Paul received it)?

Good point. Can't be entirely sure but a potential explanation of what happened. I hadn't remembered to turn logging back on after the earlier USB upgrade so I haven't been able to trace back.

If IceTV had the program listed as Secret Daughter initially and then I installed the patch, that might explain how the entries came to be out of sync. The event ids would have changed so it would have "failed" to forget the earlier timer. At the time we pondered whether it was necessary to do a clear and resend all but thought it not necessary. In hindsight, probably should have done so to eliminate that as the cause. However, I just checked the T3 and it also recorded The Good Doctor but named it as The Secret Daughter. If it was the change in event IDs, I would have expected it to not affect the T3 as that does not have the IceTV patch installed.

Still a mystery - hopefully a one-off.

Yes, by doing remove episode and remove series from the IceTV Web pages.

The code that implements "forget" commands from the IceTV server doesn't reference either the show_id or the eit_id in the IceTV timer command, only the timer's id (the ice_timer_id in the Beyonwiz-side timer).
