EPGSearch plugin...

Post by IanSav » Mon Apr 11, 2016 16:34

Hi,

Would it be possible to copy / move the EPGSearch plugin to the Beyonwiz Bitbucket repository so that the source code can be changed for the Beyonwiz build? I am working on a time and date display overhaul and would like to correct some text, time and date display issues in this plugin and then convert to using the new time and date system.

For the benefit of casual readers, the changes I am developing will allow users of any skin to select the date and time display formats for much of the UI. Initially time formats will look better in 24 hour time but the intention is to also allow 12 hour time presentations.

Regards,
Ian.

I'm not in favour of this idea since it creates more maintenance work for me. More maintenance work means less time for other, more important things.

Try to get your changes accepted upstream instead.

Hi PeterU,

To use the new date and time code that I am developing means that the changes will not work upstream.

Regards,
Ian.

I guess you would need to upstream all the required components.

Hi PeterU,

Let's see how this new date and time system works on the Beyonwiz. If the changes are well received then perhaps you could offer me suggestions about how I can push the code changes upstream.

Regards,
Ian.
