T2 Twitchy Remote Control
As the title suggests, the remote control on one of my T2s has become very twitchy, it's like one button press is seen as two. If I use the remote from the alternate T2 it's fine, and the problem carries over to the other machine. So I'm pretty confident it's an issue with the remote control itself.
Is this something that anybody has encountered and solved? Or do I just buy a new one? thanks.

Re: T2 Twitchy Remote Control
Have you tried replacing the batteries with fresh ones?
That double-press behaviour is a tell-tale symptom of low batteries with the T4 remote. The T4 remote was more prone to it due to the backlight though.

Re: T2 Twitchy Remote Control
Yes, ours started intermittently doing the exact same thing when it was about 9 months old. It was the most used button ... the OK button from memory. And in my case it wasn’t the batteries. IMO the T2 remote is rubbish & there is no way I will buy another T2 remote.SomebodyElse wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 10:43... Is this something that anybody has encountered and solved? On the 10-Sep-18 I sent a request via the Beyonwiz website contact us for a quote to a solution that I would like, but sadly I never received a reply.
In the meantime we are persevering with a Harmony 650 remote which is much better than the T2 remote, but it isn’t as good as the U4 remote.

Re: T2 Twitchy Remote Control
Thanks all, I'll try new batteries. I think it has become a gradual issue, so that makes sense.

Nope, new batteries didn't solve it.
I think I'll buy a new one. As I have two T2s I don't want to have to use two different remotes!

If you can stretch to it, purchase two of the T3 remotes then, as they're far superior (in shape, button layout, battery usage) - https://beyonwiz.com.au/products/beyonw ... e-control/

And assuming that the two T2s are in different rooms (a pretty safe assumption I guess). The T3 remote has a fixed code set and cannot be switched like the T2 and T4 remotes, so you cannot use two of them in the same room (same IR reception zone) because both of the remotes will control both of the T2s simultaneously.Grumpy_Geoff wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 17:44If you can stretch to it, purchase two of the T3 remotes then, as they're far superior (in shape, button layout, battery usage)

Re: T2 Twitchy Remote Control
It's a pity that the variant of the T3 remote with switchable code sets never got released.

Re: T2 Twitchy Remote Control
It’s a shame the U4 remote isn’t available on the Beyonwiz website as a spare part. That is a nice remote & works well with the T2.
And for those of us who have a U4 & a T2 it would mean we could have the same remote type for each unit.

Thanks all, I'll have to raid the piggy bank and get the two T3 remotes I think.
