T3 not working

Post by togo » Sat Jan 20, 2018 20:43

The T3 2TB has stopped working. The LED display shows "beyonwiz-T3" on power up with the rear panel switch, but that is it. The display stays this way, and nothing appears on the TV screen.

There was no indication of anything wrong in the last few days. This afternoon the LED display showed "booting" for many minutes: then after an off-on with the rear panel switch, the "beyonwiz-T3" display began.

Any suggestions or comments welcome.

Your power supply is dead and need repairs.

This has been discussed thoroughly here.

Contact Warkus or Beyonwiz to arrange a repair, or if you are handy with a soldering iron, you can follow the instructions in the sticky thread at the top of this forum.

Thanks, McQuade.

I should have looked at the sticky thread, but when I see PSU I just go on to something else. :)

The soldering job would be interesting, but well, a PSU is involved. So the next step is a support request at Beyonwiz!

For info, this is a Feb 2015 T3.

Thanks again.

Yep. Almost every T3 started failing in exactly the same fashion about 18 months ago.

Just a note that the author of the PSU repair thread is Warkus and he does come highly recommended.

In a way it's good to know that it's a known fault with a tried and tested fix.

That is a good point, thanks. Warkus has helped me too - I'll get in touch with him.

Hi
I've got this issue too. I wrote to the support desk but it's been two and a half weeks and no response. Maybe they're all away for Xmas! :D
How do I contact Warkus?
Thanks
