No sound on mpg file

I am not getting audio from an .mpg file which I copied from from my Windows PC to my T4. The .mpg file was generated when I played and recorded a DVD consisting of TS video and audio files via VLC on my PC. The visual aspect of the file plays on my Sony TV via the T4 but there is no accompanying audio.

What audio encoding is use in your .mpg file? I assume the audio posts back ok using VLC on your PC?
If it contains AAC audio, then check your T4's audio downmix setting. Make sure AAC downmix is turned on.

Suggest you post a MediaInfo file report to show all the parameters of the video and audio.
