T4 to T4 Transferring Recording

Post by Swanny » Sat Oct 10, 2015 10:59

Just to prevent a mistake:

If have my two T4 hard disks on my iMac desktop (via smb:// etc) -
Can I simply drag recordings from one T4 HD to the other T4 hard disk. Then delete the originals.
If so it will be a very simple way to keep the T4 recordings in order.
I think this will work.
I can do this dragging movies for the iMac to the T4.

Just check - seems too simple :? :?

It should work just fine. As long as you wait for the copy to complete, then they should make it over just fine.

If you want to make sure, and satisfy yourself, just copy a few and test them out by playing them on the destination T4.

Hi,

I never thought about doing via a PC.

I've done a couple between 2 T2s using the BW File manager. That worked well.

Didn't need to touch a mouse or keyboard, done by "remote control".

I may end up putting a link in "Movies" for the other's T2. Save transferring.

We need to sort out our initial confusion when we recording at random to test the T4s
I have successfully dragged m4v movies from iMac to the T4 HD where they can now be viewed on a tablet and with subtitles on the VCL player. Subtitles not available in WizOz - drat!
Thanks for the replies.
