I am still having some issues using my T3
I am still having some issues using my T3
Hi
Ok after having my T3 work without any issues over the last few weeks I am now greeted with the following message:
""Write error while recording, Disk Full?"
(then the name of the show I tried to record)
I have checked my usb external hard drive in the T3's menu and it has over 600 gig free out of 1TB.
I don't understand why it has been working perfectly since my last little hiccups and now it just decides to give me this particular error message.
Anybody got any ideas?
Regards,
alicudi

Re: I am still having some issues using my T3
Was there a USB thumb drive attached to the T3 when the recording was made?

Hi
The only usb products connected are the 1TB external hard drive and 4th tv tuner supplied by Beyonwiz.
The only time an external thumb drive has ever been connected to my T3 was for the first firmware upgrade performed a while ago. Since then the T3 has had another firmware upgrade but via the Ethernet network.

What are the settings for the recording directory in MENU>Settings>TV>Recording settings, and can you navigate there in the Movie Player or File Commander?

Hi
My settings are:
Default movie location: /media/hdd/movie/
Timer recording location: /media/hdd/movie/
Instant recording location: /media/hdd/movie/
I am not sure what you mean can I get there in the Movie Player or File Commander sorry.

Re: I am still having some issues using my T3
Hi
After having this issue a number of times and thinking it had something to do with the original firmware upgrade to the T3 as that is when my issue first started well it has been diagnosed to be a faulty cable that I used between the T3 and the external usb hard drive.
It was Beyonwiz tech support that told me I should try using a different cable and it solved the issue.
The old cable is now In the bin.
I should make a show like "Air Crash Investigators" on how such a cheap and so simple part can create so much grief!
Thanks to all the forum members in this thread and other threads and of course Beyonwiz for your time and effort in assisting me with this issue.

It's the sort of problem that long predates powered flight. The earliest similar proverb on the Wikipedia page is from 13th century Germany
Glad it's sorted, anyway.
