Can someone recommend a free win7 program that I can use to trim the ts files from my T3?

By far the best as a Swiss army knife program is ProjectX as you can top and tail, edit out commercials maintaining subtitle sync and fixing common errors if you use Demux mode. The interface however looks a tad "toxic" for some.

Then there is MPEGStreamclip, it's free but you need either the, at cost QUICKTIME MPEG plugin or the free QUICKTIME ALTERNATIVE 1.81 see http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-win.html to download and read about it.

AviDemux should work but on some files it can be a bit fiddly.

Other programs worth considering, payware are Womble or VideoRedo.

X.ini
(1.85 KiB) Downloaded 37 times
If you try ProjectX go to the site indicated on my signature for a rough set up guide - it's old but still applies. I have attached my ProjectX ini file that will set it all up for you, just replace the default one.

Apparently ini files are not allowed so this is it. Just copy to notepad and call it X.ini
