If you have tried this button and did it do anything at all?
What did you insert into slot?
Has anyone tried the reset button on back of V2?

If you hold it in when booting, it will load into the firmware update mode.
It's just a second method for accessing firmware updates in addition to the front button.
A paperclip or anything similarly slim will work.
