No STB volume control

Post by thewally » Thu Oct 19, 2023 18:40

On my T4 I am no longer able to adjust the STB volume. The remote flashes the STB button on pressing the volume up, down, or mute buttons but the T4 doesn’t react. It previously brought up the volume slide bar at the top of the screen but now does nothing.
I have now coded the remote to control the tv volume which does now work, but still nothing when in STB mode on the remote.
Is there a way to fully reset the remote, or can I adjust the STB volume any other way?

If you have the U4 remote, then you may have put it into "Volume Lock" mode.

Check chapter 7 of the U4 user manual for details.

That’s what I was thinking also, but it doesn’t appear to be the issue. I’ve tried the instructions in the U4 manual but the remote doesn’t light up the STB after holding it down for more than 3 seconds, I tried the rest of the instructions without any change. I also tried holding STB and OK which does end up lighting up the STB button but following the rest of the instructions also doesn’t change anything.
