No EPG

Post by 111-101 » Wed Jul 08, 2020 21:40

Hi All,

i have no epg for channels 10, 9 and ABC even though I switch to these channels long enough for them to download.

However I do get epg for sbs and 7.

I am in Geelong, Victoria.

Any ideas what the problem is?

It used to work but now nothing on these channels. My TV picks up the epg but not the beyonwiz box.

Anybody else with that proble?

Thank you in advance.

PS i looked for an update and there were none, and I did a refresh of all the stations.

If you zap to one of them and then bring up the EPG and wait a few seconds, does the EPG then populatr for the services from that broadcaster?

Do you have the 'EPG cache reload' setting (Setup>>TV>>EPG settings)? If so, disable it,

You may also just have a corrupted EPG that is preventing new data from being written into it.

A sneaky way to delete the EPG is to enable IceTV temporarily, then disable it again.

thank you for your reply.

if i go to, say 10 peach, and then wait there a while watching whatever is on, then go to the epg and then wait for a while, no epg shows up

and 'EPG cache reload' is OFF

as i mentioned, it used to work for all channels but not any more, and the epg for 7 and sbs works

and if i go to the beyonwiz app on my samsung tablet, it just says 'no guide available at the moment' for channels 10 and 9 and abc

i don't get it

At some point someone at the broadcaster stuffed up and sent (or is still sending) invalid EPG data. It will eventually clear itself, but if you want to try a manual EPG cleanout, do as MrQuade recommends:

Good to hear. I guess there are plenty of people in Melbourne that are not having the best of times right now, so fingers crossed we can at least help you get some joy out of your TV. 8)
