How do you switch between HDMI and Component out on remote
How do you switch between HDMI and Component out on remote
I can't seem to find the tv-out button to cycle through connection types on the T2 remote, my friend is using component and at the moment all he can see is a cache still of video and audio is ok. Remote is not functional, new batteries and on STB, I suspect it might be set to HDMI out? ..... just not seeing it...

Re: How do you switch between HDMI and Component out on remote
You don't need to switch, both are active at the same time.......I think.
The fact that they can see an image indicates that the TV is able to accept the signal format. Is it actual video or just the bubbles screen?
If they operate the remote, do they see the GUI appear over the top of the still video?
Have they tried pausing and un-pausing?
They can try using a component cable to get into the T2, go to the AV settings and switch from HDMI to component from there. I'm not 100% sure how that seeing works, bit at least that's something to try.

Re: How do you switch between HDMI and Component out on remote
There isn't one. It's a feature of the U4 and V2 remotes only.
However, if you have one of those remotes, the TV-OUT button on them will work with the T2, if the T2's remote setting is "All supported" or "Beyonwiz U4 (0XAE97)".

FIXED! Re: How do you switch between HDMI and Component out on remote
Well it "fixed" itself it seems. When my friend disconnected it to bring it over to me, then changed his mind and reconnected and turned it on he told me he saw "all those funny bubbles things on the screen and is now fixed" So be it, my journey East is cancelled and one less crowded Sydney train to endure...
PS I guess we will never know
