U4 - how show duration as hrs/mins
U4 - how show duration as hrs/mins
I have invoked the settings to show durations of recordings in Media files.
However it displays in minutes eg a recording may say it is 160mins.
I would prefer it to say 2hours 40 minutes like the P2 used to?
I have gone thru the settings but no luck?
Is it possible? If so how?

Re: U4 - how show duration as hrs/mins
There is no setting for that.
Yes. By changing the code, if enough people think it's worthwhile.
However, the space is limited, and a h:mm:ss form will take more space than mmm:ss. That would mean that the column width for the title would need to be reduced a little if the hh:mm:ss form is chosen..

I should be able to whip up a plugin for you. What format would you like?
- h:mm (e.g. 0:59, 1:00)
- h'h'mm (e.g. 0h59, 1h00)
- h'h'mm'm' (e.g. 0h59m, 1h00m)
- as above, unless it's under an hour, then use 'm' (and 's'; e.g. 59m59, 1h00m)
- h:mm:ss (e.g. 0:59:59, 1:00:00)
- h'h'mm'm'ss (e.g. 0h59m59, 1h00m00)
- as above, with 's'
- any of the letter forms, but leaving out 0 components (and maybe a space between)

Many of those formats are unlikely to fit in the current column space for the duration in MovieSelection. The maximum values are 1440:00 for m:s, and 24:00:00 for h:mm:s.

According to Prl column width may be an issue. No need to show seconds.
I would go with the shortest form ( I think this would be it?) > h:mm (e.g. 0:59, 1:00)
Re: U4 - how show duration as hrs/mins
At least with my Full Metal Wizard settings, HH:MM:SS just fits (a single-digit hour should be fine). Still, I've gone with H:MM for this one (if it's 30 seconds or more the minute rounds up). Only the list is changed, the info is still M:SS.
