Hi sjlee and welcolme,

It's highly likely you have fallen into a trap caused by the factory firmware. You may have accidentally set your resolution to a setting the TV can't handle. If so, Grumpy_Geoff posted instructions on how to reset using the remote. Try this link first. See: this post

If you're on a network and have a PC or Tablet, you can follow this process: Using Openwebif

Once you get it right, you should update the firmware. But first things first. Let's try to get it working. The thread I am referring to also explains the problem and includes links in the posts that follow on what to do next. Read it carefully and you should be right. If not, don't be afraid to ask.

Cheers, Paul

PS. This is the test forum and you might not get a quick answer here. Better to post in the T2/T3/T4/U4 section under General Topics for this kind of problem. Also, you will find a couple of threads there that deal with others that have had similar problems - worth a read.

Hi Stephen.

Glad it's sorted. Did you use the remote or OpenWebif? Just curious.

It's worth the effort to learn how to use OpenWebif with the U4. It can make a lot of tasks easier to do.

Regards, Paul

This problem should be completely eliminated in 17.5-20180323 and later.

If you select a mode that is not supported by the connected HDMI device, the display will use the preferred mode advertised by the connected HDMI device.
