T4 Stopped Outputting

Left the T4 on standby for about 90". Turned it and the TV back on and the TV couldn't find the source. Detached and reattached the HDMI cable on the T4, no change
Turned the amp on as it's usually on standby, still nothing
Switched the amp to HDMI2 and the T3 was outputting to the TV
Swapped the cables on the back of the amp and the T3 was fine on HDMI1 but not the T4 on HDMI2, swapped back
The T4 had been showing ABC News 24 on the front panel. I pressed Media on the remote and the front panel went black/blank. Showed the media after about 20 seconds
Moved up and down the Media listing, front panel showed the changes.
Exited Media and the panel showed ABC News again.
Was just about to press Power and do a reboot when it started displaying on the TV
All is now good. No idea what happened

I think my T4 did something very similar to that recently too. Mine had been turned on but idling while the TV was on another input. I switched back to the T4 input and there was no signal coming out of the T4. The front LCD was also completely black but you could feel the hard disk and fan still running. No buttons on the remote or the unit would revive it so had to power off via the rear power switch to reboot. Came up fine after that and hasn't done it again since. It was during a very hot day so i thought maybe there is an overheat protection on these things it might have tripped?

Mine was still responding to remote button presses. It was only low 30's yesterday so heat should not have been a problem

Happened again today. I turned it off and on [standby] again and it fixed it

I have two T4 wizzes, a 2TB and refurb BB, and the BB seems to be doing the same thing, it will sometimes be perfect, sometimes keep dropping out the hdmi every 10 secs or so for a few secs (perhaps just Yamaha/TV resync delay after the dropout glitch and the drop may be less?).
If I connect the composite A/V out, this doesn't have the problem, so it is definitely related to the hdmi, changing cables, changing to directly to another TV input doesn't seem to help.

This has happened here several times. I have found no pattern as to how or why it happens and the only way I have found to resolve is to go back to standby and turn on again.

3 times for me so far. First was worrying, not a big deal now, 2 presses of the power button and it's fixed
