Network Time on S1 loses view of P2 contents

Post by brianh » Sat Apr 09, 2011 07:46

Couldn't see this anywhere and wondered whether anyone else has had a similar experience.

I have the P2 and S1 connected via a Cat 5 cable, through an Icebox2. Until now, there were no issues seeing either unit from the other. I recently set the S1 to get its time from the Network. Later on I went to watch some of the P2's programs from the S1, lo and behold the P2 was visible, folders were visible, but none of the contents were. Tried clearing & re-scanning, no difference, it appeared to be empty.

Returned time to Auto, went back and looked, all the P2's programs are once again visible.

It's not a big deal, but is this normal for the S1?
Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian,

That is not normal. Does WizFX find contents on both units?

While in NETWORK time mode did you try a re-index (SOUNDTRACK button on the source Beyonwiz, in your case the DP-P2)?

Regards,
Ian.

Sounds to me like the wrong media type was selected in the top bar of the FilePlayer. I've been caught by that a few times.

Ian,

I'll give that a try when I get access to the unit.

Peter,

I'm pretty sure it was on the right type, but will try again and see what the result is.

Thanks guys,
Cheers,
Brian
