T3 remote

Post by kim1961 » Mon Jun 30, 2014 21:12

Is it possible to buy an extra T3 remote.
We have our T3 setup so we can watch it from 2 rooms and we'd like an extra remote for the other room, we have a logitech remote but the WAF is not very high with 2 different remotes.

Thanks
Kim

Hi kim1961, if you have an android phone or tablet you can install VU+ app which has a built in remote for the T3!

Like this one? Probably best if you ask a marine biologist.

That's pretty good. I'll remember that for future typos.

For iPhone apps, search the App Store for vu+, enigma2 or dreambox. They are all similar and apps for them all seem to work on the T3. Blackbox is very good and allows you to stream TV and recirdings to the iPad and iPhone plus setup the T3 remotely but it is probably too complicated as a remote and there are other simpler apps that just work as remotes, and there should be free.
If you find one you think is good, post back.

I just tried an app called "Dream Remote", on an all touch Blackberry (Z30) - works a treat, I'm guessing it's a port of an Android app... works via the local wireless network. Selecting Enigma2 Ver2 gave me the most useful remote buttons, they're not all there but enough to get the T3 to do what I want it to do.
Cheers,
Brian
