Improvement request. Media display. Directory contents
Re: Series2Folder plugin
Can anyone make a comment on a limit to how many entries can be shown as a directory count.
E.G.
I have a number of directories with 2 - 3 shows, with the number count shown on the right side of the directory
I have one directory that has currently 139 files
yet the media list just gives
Show name "spicks and specks" and "directory" with nothing appended
All others list show name "Files" and the appropriate number. or "empty"
Not a big deal, But just wonder if there is a limit?

Re: Series2Folder plugin
Grampus, should I move your post to a topic about directory counts?
I can't see how it has anything to do with Series2Folder.

Re: Series2Folder plugin
I have a Movies subdirectory with 87 entries. Its file count displays just fine.
There isn't any upper limit to the size of count displayed. If a subdirectory contains both files and directories, the display should be "Dirs: N; Files: M".
Just "Directory" will be displayed if no count is gatered for the subdirectory: because counting is completelt disabled, or disabled for that subdirectory. Since you see counts for some directories, counting isn't disabled completely.
To check whether a directory is disabled for counting, move the focus to the directory in the media selection list (highlight the Spicks and Specks directory in your case), then press MENU. If you see "Enable counting" in the menu, then counting is disabled on the subdirectory; if you see "Disable counting", then counting is enabled for the subdirectory.
You may have inadvertently disabled counting on your "Spicks and Specks" directory.
Here's a screenshot showing the subdirectory Test with 200 files and 20 directories in it (and some other subdirectories with fewer files):

Re: Series2Folder plugin
I had checked that. It is set to yes
Tried toggling it to no and back again
After the no all directories showed no count,
After the yes
All except the errant one displayed correctly.
Like I say its no big deal.
Just thought it might give someone an AHA moment.

Re: Series2Folder plugin
I said in my post that you didn't have the directory count completely disabled.
I suggested that you might have inadvertently disabled the count specifically on the Spicks and Specks directory, and I posted how you could check whether you had, and implicitly how you could restore the count on Spicks and Specks.

Re: Series2Folder plugin
The same screen as I posted above, but with directory counting specifically disabled for the Test subdirectory. Does that look sort-of familiar?

Re: Series2Folder plugin
In the case where I have disabled counts on Test, and have the focus on the Test directory, if I press MENU on the remote, this is the menu I get. The place to change its counting state back to enabled is circled in red.

Re: Series2Folder plugin
Was the problem that counting was disabled on the Spicks and Specks folder?
