No Audio Out to AVR from T2 or T3 (HDMI).. works on TV fine.
No Audio Out to AVR from T2 or T3 (HDMI).. works on TV fine.
I can get no audio output from either my T2 or t3 when connected to an AVR (Yamaha RX-V685). Both work faultlessly when connected to a TV. I have looked at every audio setting and hdmi setting on the AVR to see what the issue may be but nothing seems to work. I was hoping to avoid using component cable is possible. Any solution or advice?

I'm not sure what you are doing wrong, but Yamaha RX-V683, RX-V685 and HTR-6065 are known to work very well.
What audio settings have you got on the Beyonwiz? What settings have you got on the Yamaha?

There are not many audio settings on the beyonwiz and the audio settings on the AVR and the hdmi all work for the DVD, Firestick, Chromecast but not the Beyonwiz. I'm going to try another hdmi cable but there is nothing i can see in the settings of either that would/should stop adio being produced.
Re: No Audio Out to AVR from T2 or T3 (HDMI).. works on TV fine.
Are you connecting the AVR to a TV port that has HDR Deep Colour enabled?
If that's the case, then you will end up with no audio. Connecting directly to the TV on an input that doesn't have deep colour enabled will allow the sound to work as you seem to have discovered.
I have an old HDMI VCR that I need to connect up in this fashion.

No the AVR hdmi output is to a Benq T-850 4k Overhead projector. No TV involved. Also the colour of the video seems to be a sickly green.
Re: No Audio Out to AVR from T2 or T3 (HDMI).. works on TV fine.
Does your AVR have Enhanced set for the video in/out, if it does that is the issue with the T2 - on my Onkyo you cannot set the Enhanced/Normal on a per input basis, it's either on or off for all inputs and outputs. Because of that I needed to run an optical cable from the T2 to the Onkyo, set the Onkyo to Enhanced for all the other inputs/output and that fixed getting audio from the T2.plato wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 13:11I can get no audio output from either my T2 or t3 when connected to an AVR (Yamaha RX-V685). TV or projector...... Doesn't matter.
Have you enabled HDR deep colour on that HDMI connection?
Only the T4, U4 and V2 are compatible with that setting.

Re: No Audio Out to AVR from T2 or T3 (HDMI).. works on TV fine.
Yes I think HDR is enabled. After all I have a 4k blu ray player to a 4k projector and the AVR doesn't allow me to change enahnced/Normal on hdmi inputs. So it looks like the T2/T3 are not up to the task here. Thanks for the info. Looks like my T2 will have to be a spare and I will need to upgrade to as you say T4, U4 and V2. Just hope that solves the problem.
Re: No Audio Out to AVR from T2 or T3 (HDMI).. works on TV fine.
Yea, AVRs usually only have a single "enhanced mode" setting which applies to all inputs and the output, and the display device is usually the only place you can set it on a per-input basis (which is unhelpful in your case).
The T4 and U4 cannot be bought new any more, so the V2 is the only option unless you can find something second hand.
