All it needs is a reboot.

The web browser (and as an extension HbbTV and YouTube) are disabled on the first boot after an upgrade.

They will appear on the second boot.

I thought that at first and mentioned the reboot, but he also mentioned having had a look at the alternative Youtube plugins, which would have necessitated a reboot following their installation anyway.

Not sure why he wouldn't still see "Youtube TV", unless the "3rd party" Youtube plugins removes the "Youtube TV" plugin from the main menu.

Thanks guys, turns out a reboot fixed it. I thought I did that last night when I upgraded but obviously not
