None and unlikely to be any as they would be copyright controls I would imagine.

My Humax has Quickflix in the Humax Portal, so I can't see why it couldn't be done with Netflix

We've visited this question before, and I'm not sure there's much to be added.

A PVR is for watching free content.
Netflix/Quickflix/Stan/Presto/iTunes are for watching paid content and those companies probably wouldn't want their apps on an open source platform.
Besides, which of the above should be included? Include one and there would be complaints from fans of the others. Netflix is the trendy one right now, but fashions don't last.

There are plenty of blog posts about on how to get Netflix to run on Linux. I don't understand why the concept seems to be stonewalled in this forum.
There is no reason for Netflix to be against this given you still need to pay the subscription to watch.

Unfortunately, I have absolutely no Linux programming skills (my new U4 is the first "venture" into the lands of Linux), so I'm hoping someone on this forum is able to programme the instructions into a single file for the rest of us noobs.

I bought my U4 not to take sides on the paid vs free content battle, I bought it because my research revealed it was the best shot at unifying my PVR requirements with freeview and my Netflix and Plex setup with downloaded content that I have on my Roku.

The Wiz web browser is not compliant with the DRM copy protection that Netflix uses. The Wiz units also use a different CPU architecture to a desktop PC, so desktop specific applications just won't work in the same way.

Netflix would alternatively need to write an app to specifically support the Wiz, or other Enigma2 products. This is something that just is simply not worth Netflix's time and won't happen.

It's not that the topic is being stonewalled, it is just not something that is in any way technically or economically feasible.

The Netflix solutions being discussed in the links are all for either the Chrome or Firefox browsers. There's no port of either in the enigma2 feeds for the Beyonwiz. As far as I can tell, the only browser port to the Beyonwiz enigma2 environment is OpenOpera.

So the first step is "just" to port one of those two browsers to the Beyonwiz enigma2 environment. Then there's a question of getting any necessary extensions ported, provided they're not proprietary or that they don't involve running foul of Division 2A of the Copyright Act - Actions in relation to technological protection measures and electronic rights management information.

No-one that I know of objects per se to having Netflix available on the Beyonwiz PVRs. The issues are about the effort to do so and the possible legal difficulties it may entail. I'm sure Netflix's legal department has pretty deep pockets.
