T4 receiver - I cannot change its name.

We have two T4s. I have successfully change the name of one and that is good.

No matter how many times I change the name in “Setup/change host name” the receiver still reverts to “beyonwizT4”

I would be very grateful for the steps to do this successfully. There appears to be another step I am missing.

Icetv recognizes the new name but the network does not.

I have managed to network the two units - many thanks for that.

You didn't hard code it in a hosts file by any chance?

I went crazy after changing the IP address of a machine. It would stubbonly mis-identify itself on the network until I cleaned up the hosts file.

Is the recalcitrant T4 using the correct IP address?
Has it been rebooted since the name change?
