Remote Access

Post by Trial_Master » Sun Oct 07, 2018 20:30

When using the VPN in my router to connect to my devices remotely I’m unable to connect to my T4 and T2 via IP Address or by using the Beyonwiz IOS app. Is there a setting I can alter to allow access. I’m not wanting to expose the devices to internet just for me via VPN.

Yes. Go into the plugin browser in the main menu and open up the OpenWebIf settings. You need to enable VPN access. This allows the Wiz to talk to devices that aren't on its local subnet.

Either that or you can set up your VPN to give your remote devices a LAN address instead of a routed address. If using OpenVPN, that means you need to use "TAP" mode.

That’s awesome. The enable VPN is working great. Thank you.

Thanks very much for that tip! It reminded me - I came across this problem too in the past but had totally forgotten about it.
