If you want to bookmark a specific directory, then either -
- Navigate the MEDIA directory listing to the desired share location/directory and open it, then press MENU>>Add bookmark.
- Navigate the MEDIA directory listing to the parent directory of the directory you intend to bookmark. Press MEDIA again to enter the Location/Bookmark screen.
In the Location/Bookmark screen, CH+/- toggles between the directories in top section and bookmarks in the bottom section.
Navigate the top panel to the share and sub-directory to bookmark,- Press GREEN/OK to both bookmark the directory and return to the media list with that directory opened, or
- Press BLUE/Add bookmark to bookmark it and stay in the Location/Bookmark screen (e.g. to bookmark other directories).

If the Beyonwiz crashes while accessing the network drive the bookmark disappears. (It froze for me trying to open an iso file on the network.)

Re: Link to a folder
If enigma2 crashed then usually there's a wall of white text on a black screen, then a few seconds later enigma2 restarts and the "bubbles" screen is shown.
Usually in a crash scenario, a crash log is written to the /home/root/logs/ directory (by default, but you can change the log location).
You can check file /var/log/messages, but that's re-created on (re)boot.
