Hi All,

It's Alive! It's Alive!

Another happy DP-P2 owner thanks to Warkus / aka Mark - just installed my refurbished power supply and pleased that my DP-P2 is back alive again.

Now to drop a new HDD in it and it will be almost as good as new.!

Phew, saved me from buying a new unit and having to deal with Wife Acceptance Factors etc.

THANKS MARK!!!! :D :D :D

That's how the private message system works. It will stay in your outbox until Warkus reads it. That way, when it leaves the outbox you know it has been read.

Another bump.

Had my old but much used S1 sorted by Mark in the last few days.

Aside from the power supply, I know he had a bunch of other issues to deal with inside the unit and, among other things, required parts which were eventually supplied from the UK. Of course that took extra time and effort on Mark's part yet he was still incredibly reasonable in his final price.

The unit is now back in the rack and running good as new. My wife is happy her TV recording box is again running and I'm again very satisfied with the service I received from Mark.

good to hear! I got the email notification for a reply to this topic and thought the worst, because Mark was taking a bit of a rest due to health reasons, but glad he is still helping out PVR owners from all around the country still.

Yes.

Whilst I was aware he had some health issues as a result of reading comments in this forum, I confess I forgot to ask after them when speaking with Mark. What I can say is he looked to be in good health. He certainly is currently doing electronics repair work.

Does anyone know if Mark is still working? I see he hasn't been on here since last year (or Whirlpool either), and I did email the info address for his business but haven't heard back.

Thanks.

As far as I am aware, yes, he is. Just been busy with life, etc.

Old thread, but still just as relevant now as way back then.

Mark has just done major repairs on my T4 and the wizzer is now is back and working properly.

I do not fully understand all the technicalities, but I do believe what he found on the mainboard was a first for Mark and it caused him some grief before he got it going again.

Thanks Mark. *thumbs up*

++ As an aside - the FetchTV unit I bought to put in it's place temporarily (thinking ahead for backup options) certainly has some benefits including ease of use, but until they sort out their brain dead HDCP logic, it is unsuited for use with some equipment combinations.
