DP-Lite occasionally cracks up.

My friends DP Lite occasionally freezes/cracks up, about once every 1 to 2 weeks, the problem first started about 2 months ago. The strange thing is that when it happens it is recording the 6.00PM news on 7HD Perth, it always occurs at about the 30 minute of the recording process. When this occurs it will not play any other files, you just get a blank screen, and the only way to recover is a reboot. As I said this only occurs with the 6.00PM 7HD News, all other recordings at other times on all stations work without a problem, and all other functions appear normal.

Very strange and I can not think of any logical reason.
